3 Characters, Chaucer, and the Cleveland Greenway

My English IV pilgrims took to the Greenway today to tell their stories.... We were in groups on Friday to pick a character from Chaucer, one literary character, and one from real life (historical character, living or dead, or a pop culture icon). Groups wrote a description for each character then picked one of their three characters and wrote a story that character might have told on a pilgrimage. Today, we jigsawed the groups and put them in groups of four and five and each person read the story their group had written. They also had to bring one form of costuming or a prop for their stories. It was a little humid, but it was fun.
